Tree removal and pruning in Surrey
We remove hazardous and unwanted trees, prune, grind stumps and clean up after storms across Surrey, and we sort out the tree permit before anything is cut.

Working in Surrey
Surrey's tree bylaw is one of the more involved in the region. A permit is needed for trees 30 cm in diameter and larger, and protected species such as arbutus, Garry oak, redwood and ginkgo need one at any size. The City may require two replacement trees for each one removed, and federal migratory bird rules can require a nesting check before removals in spring and summer. We check every tree against the bylaw, prepare the permit application and replacement plan, and schedule around nesting season.
Big conifers next to houses are common in Fraser Heights, Guildford and Fleetwood. Our climbers take them down in sections on rope, lowering pieces so nothing hits the roof, fence or garden, and we grind the stumps so the space can be reused.

Tree removal & arborist services work

What clients say
Professional, friendly, on time. Clean up was stellar. They pruned away dead growth from my Maple Tree, removed a big ol' dead palm, did some transplanting, and a professional job of trimming a Magnolia Grandiflora. I will use them again in the future.
Tree removal & arborist services in Surrey: common questions
What size tree needs a permit in Surrey?
Generally 30 cm in diameter and up, and smaller for protected species such as arbutus, Garry oak, redwood and ginkgo. We confirm for your tree and handle the application.
Can you remove a tree close to my house in Surrey?
Yes. We climb and dismantle the tree in sections, lowering each piece on ropes, which is the safe way to remove large trees beside houses, fences and power lines.
Do you grind stumps?
Yes. We grind below grade so the area can be replanted, sodded or built over.
Do you offer emergency tree removal?
We remove storm-damaged, split and hazardous trees. Call 778-235-0996, send photos if you can, and we'll tell you how quickly we can get there.
