New sod lawns built on the right base
We strip old lawns, fix the grading and drainage, bring in quality topsoil and lay fresh sod, so you get a lawn that drains and roots properly instead of turning to mud every winter.

Most failed lawns in the Tri-Cities aren't a grass problem, they're a soil and drainage problem. Compacted clay, low spots and thin topsoil mean water sits on the surface all winter and roots never get deep. We fix the ground first: remove the old turf, regrade so water runs away from the house, add drainage where the yard stays wet, and spread and level a proper depth of screened topsoil before the sod goes down.
We install sod for new builds, full backyard renovations and lawn replacements, and we often combine it with retaining walls, patios, river rock beds or artificial turf in the shadier or high-traffic parts of the yard. This is a construction service: we build the lawn and hand it over with watering instructions. We don't offer ongoing lawn maintenance.

Questions we get asked
When is the best time to lay sod?
Spring and fall are ideal because of the cool temperatures and natural rain. Sod can go down in summer with consistent watering.
How long before I can walk on new sod?
Keep traffic light for about two to three weeks while the roots knit into the soil. You can usually mow once the sod is firmly rooted and doesn't lift when you tug it.
Why does my lawn turn to mud every winter?
Usually compacted clay soil, poor grading or no drainage. Laying new sod on top won't fix it, so we correct the grade and drainage first.
Sod or artificial turf?
Sod is cooler, natural and costs less up front. Artificial turf suits shade, dogs and high-traffic areas and needs no watering or mowing. Many yards use both.
